The Second Annual Sundowner Festival is a “Hit”

International artists and local musicians gathered this October for the second annual Turks & Caicos Sundowner Music Festival. The 4-day event began as the talented team visited the local community center. The event included a detailed Q&A session, and then the entire group collaborated to write a song! Guests enjoyed many island performances and a Cruise & Beach Jam. We were delighted to welcome back Wyatt Easterling to the festival. This Nashville multi-platinum producer and chart-topping songwriter was a “hit.” Also included in this year’s line up was Grammy-winning songwriter & producer Phil Madeira (pictured below), the returning Pop/Rock duo Naked Blue and Country artist Lacy Jade. Guests enjoyed the lively tunes as they danced the night away. There was a great turnout, and we were honored with an appearance by the Turks & Cacios Premier. The night ended with an encore presentation, as our talented artists performed one final…

The Somerset Celebrates 10th Anniversary

The Somerset on Grace Bay marked its 10th Anniversary with a well-attended Beach Party BBQ on Tuesday, November 15, 2016. Guests were treated to the usual spectacular Providenciales sunset as tropical rum punches were passed about. Executive Chef Brad Townsend and his highly regarded Pavilion restaurant team prepared a succulent beach dinner that included a wide variety of freshly caught local seafood. The crowd was entertained by local musicians, including our talented Managing Director Urmas Karner. Of course, “DJ Snoopi” (known during the day as Bellman Winston Bent) spun tunes into the night, and the dance floor filled up accordingly. There was even a visit from the island’s premier fire eater (who gave a very ‘hot’ performance!) and Chinese Wish Lanterns were sent aloft over Grace Bay. On behalf of The Somerset on Grace Bay, we appreciate our cherished guests and dedicated staff. Many staff members have been working at…

Each month, we will be giving away a free 3-night stay for 2. Congratulations to Lisa Groves-Lecce who is the November winner in our Treasured Times Contest. Lisa’s Treasured Time “The evening we arrived was breathtaking, and our girls were beyond thrilled to be poolside and bounding along your gorgeous beach at sunset. It was here that we treasured simple things the most, like helping our girls hunt for seashells or taking in the ‘perfect 10’ view from our terrace. We had a spectacular week, relaxing and enjoying our family. At The Somerset, people greeted us like friendly neighbors from back home. Our last night was the famous beach BBQ and the girls couldn’t contain their…
