Spotlight on Winston Bent

Montego Bay native Winston Bent has been working at The Somerset for seven years and is a man of many talents. He interacts with resort guests as both a bellman for the resort and DJ at our signature Tuesday night Beach Party BBQ.

Bellman by Day

As bellman, Winston goes above and beyond to provide guests with superior service and a welcoming atmosphere. He transports luggage, arranges transportation, makes dining reservations and prepares refreshing welcome drinks for guests to enjoy upon arrival.

Winston’s favorite part about being a bellman is the opportunity to greet guests, get to know them throughout their stay and be part of the reason they return.

DJ by Night

Winston, also known as “DJ Snoopi”, loves to leave a smile on guests’ faces, and he certainly achieves this as he DJs the weekly Beach BBQ. It’s always a lively event as guests place song requests with the man spinning the beats, some of which are from Winston’s own album. That’s right—Winston also records his own music, and his single “Far Away” is popular among both children and adults.

Winston primarily records Reggae and Rhythm & Blues and has always used music to express himself. He loves to share his passion with guests of all ages by getting them on the dance floor. He picks songs that fit each crowd and never hesitates to teach the group some of his favorite dance moves!
