Staff Spotlight: Adrain

Perhaps you’ve seen his bright smile around the lobby or experienced his warm personality at the front desk. Adrain is one of our shining staff members ready to greet you upon check-in.

Born and raised in the Bahamas, Adrain first came to The Somerset on vacation with family. So wowed by the resort’s beauty, he thought to himself, “If I ever moved to Providenciales, this would be my first choice.” He is now in his second year with the team.

Adrain is all about guest satisfaction and ensuring that guests feel welcome and truly at home. One of his favorite quotes by Justine Vogt is “Hospitality: making your guests feel like they’re at home, even if you wish they were.”

Adrain’s Treasured Time Story 

In 2017 he met a couple that brought their niece to The Somerset who was battling cancer. “This family stole my heart!” Just about every other week Adrain receives photos and updates on her health. He continues to be inspired and encouraged by her courage, concern for others, and bubbly personality.

The Local Scoop

Outside of the resort, Adrain loves being active. You can find him rock climbing and zip-lining. To get outdoors in Provo, he recommends all guests go experience the island’s barrier reef, the third largest in the world. “The beautiful reef and colorful fishes… You must go and see it for yourself. This is a must see!”

Another passion of Adrain’s is cooking, a hobby he picked up from “the world’s best cook, my mother.” As an avid food lover, he recommends trying Bay Bistro for a “delectable” meal on-island. “The restaurant transforms at night from a rustic beach bar to an elegant romantic evening setting that is simply beautiful.”
