Looking for things to do during your stay at The Somerset on Grace Bay? We’ve absolutely got you covered.

Part of being on vacation is taking a break from all the planning of daily life. Luckily, here at The Somerset, you can leave all the planning to us: while we are happy to arrange for private boat charters, scuba diving excursions, golf outings or sunset dinners, we also host several excellent on-property events each and every week. You won’t have to go far to have the most fun.

Tuesday Night Beach Barbecue 

Every Tuesday night starting at 6:30pm, we host a beach barbecue right out front at the water’s edge. Each ticket includes our fully catered , all-you-can-eat buffet dinner, boasting all kinds of seafood, salads, and desserts, sure to please even the youngest and pickiest members of your party. Our beach bar is also available for drinks you can purchase a la carte. You’ll dance under the stars to the beats provided by our DJ and maybe even go home with the first prize in our limbo contest. But don’t ever leave early: when nighttime has fully set in, the Fire Man arrives to put on the most unbelievable fire-eating display, right in the midst of our guests. It is sure to be a night you won’t forget.

Monday Night Manager’s Cocktail Party

Want something a bit more low key? Each Monday evening beginning at 4:30pm, we offer a free cocktail hour on the pool deck for our guests. Come before dinner in your going-out clothes, or stop by on your way up from the beach, complete with sand in your toes. Either way, you’ll be treated to our famous homemade rum punch, along with beer, wine, cocktails, and even some small bites. There isn’t a better way to get to know your fellow guests or our staff.

Yoga on the Lawn 

For those of you who want to unwind and reconnect with your mind and spirit, weekly—or even daily—private yoga on our expansive front lawn is available upon request. Paid in advance at our front desk, a licensed yoga instructor will lead you through an hour of various poses in the early hours as the sun shines over the island. Accessible for yogis of all ages, with a view of the beach and the sounds of the ocean, there isn’t a better way to start your day.

Kids Movie (with Popcorn!)

Once a week, our Kids Camp offers a nighttime movie on the lawn. Our large projection screen is set up and our popcorn machine is rolled out. But this isn’t just for kids: adults are also welcome to sit beneath the stars on a plush blanket and take in a classic movie. If you’re lucky, you might even come on a night where we have cotton candy. There’s nothing like a real movie experience in the ideal island setting.
