Taste of Tapas – Pavilion at The Somerset

The Turks and Caicos Hotel & Tourism Association recently held an outdoor tapas and cocktails fundraiser in support of the Association’s Culinary Camp, which prepares Turks and Caicos youth for a career in hospitality. More than 150 participants were sunset serenaded by local musicians as they savored food prepared by several of the country’s best restaurants. Belmont Stakes Viewing at The Somerset

The race is on! Tomorrow afternoon, guests of The Somerset on Grace Bay are invited to Pavilion Restaurant to view the 147th running of American horse racing’s final Triple Crown event, the Belmont Stakes. Belmont Stakes Who is the favorite? American Pharoah has won the first two legs of the Triple Crown. He is an odds on favorite to win, but favorites rarely succeed at the Belmont. It will be fun to see if this colt can make racing history. Let’s cheer him on! What do you need to know? Belmont race track is located in the suburbs of New York City. The 1 ½ mile track renders this the longest and most grueling of the three Triple Crown races (the Kentucky Derby and the Preakness being the other two). Where should you watch the big race? Pearl Bar at Pavilion. Our superb restaurant team will be providing munchies and an exclusive race day Happy Hour…
