This November, Providenciales will offer up the best in Turks and Caicos food culture when our island hosts the Caribbean Food and Wine Festival. Pair it with one of Turks and Caicos deals this Fall, and you have the makings of a perfect trip!
This three-day celebration of food and wine will be held from November 1 to November 3, and will feature global culinary personalities such as Chef John DeLucie, Chef and Owner of The Lion and Crown in New York City. Chef DeLucie will provide a cooking demonstration and a book signing.
Chef DeLucie will collaborate with Chef Beau MacMillan, who is returning for his second year to attend this popular Turks and Caicos festival.
The Caribbean Food and Wine Festival starts off with a Welcome Dinner and five-course meal prepared by Chef DeLucie and Executive Chef Fritz Zwahlen.
After that, there will be a “Gourmet Safari” on Friday, November 2, which will lead festival attendees on a tour of Provo’s food culture. The Gourmet Safari visits different local restaurants for each course.
Saturday is highlighted by Food & Wine Tasting, where gourmet chocolates, cheeses, seafood, meats and local favorites will be on the menu. Following the tasting, the first ever “Street Food Fair” will showcase the expert grilling and barbecue techniques of more than 15 chefs from the island.
Returning wine makers include Tuck Beckstoffer of Napa Valley, as well as the owners of Duck Pond and Desert Winds wines, operated by the Fries and Jenkins families. This year, the festival also welcomes new wineries such as Terlato Wines International, which represents more than 60 of the world’s finest wines.
