Sundowner Music Festival Recap

Couple playing guitar in a boat near The Somerset on Grace Bay

From November 7-10, 2015, The Somerset hosted the inaugural Sundowner Music Festival. We had a great turnout, and the event brought together ultra-talented island musicians with international performers, professional producers and songwriters who’ve worked with some of music’s megastars including Joe Diffe and Dierks Bentley.

Jam Cruise

Scott & Jennifer Smith of Naked Blue and Country Music legend Wyatt Easterling kicked off the festival with a Jam Cruise. A spectacular Turks & Caicos sunset, fantastic music and energetic guests set the scene for a truly memorable boat ride.

Songwriting Workshop

The next day’s highlight was the songwriting and performance workshop. Turks and Caicos guests, artists and locals gathered on the Pavilion veranda to learn from successful music industry talents.

Accompanied by their music teacher, students from Clement Howell High School in Provo joined us for the three-hour workshop. The group collaborated to write a song, which the students promised to finish and share. Stay tuned for updates on the finished product!

Finale Concert

Guests danced the night away at the grand finale concert while enjoying performances from Wyatt Easterling, Naked Blue, David Bowen and other favorites. The night ended with an encore presentation, as our talented artists jammed it up one last time for an appreciative crowd. Our Managing Director, Urmas, even joined in on the fun! (right photo)

A Smashing Hit

Thank you to all our music lovers and talented performers who joined us at this vibrant music scene. The Sundowner Music Festival was extremely successful, and we appreciate everyone who participated!
