Pack for a Purpose is an initiative that allows travelers, like you, to make a lasting impact in the community at your travel destination. If you save just a few kilos of space in your suitcase and take requested supplies for locals in need, you’ll make a priceless impact in the lives of our local children and families.
Local Efforts
At The Somerset, we partner with the Edward Gartland Youth Centre. Located on Providenciales, this non-profit organization is dedicated to improving the lives and well-being of local youths. This center is a safe haven where adolescents can build life, leadership and social skills that will help them conquer daily challenges and set the foundation for achieving their dreams.

Guests of The Somerset on Grace Bay have the opportunity to give back to the Turks & Caicos community by donating time or treasure. Bring along needed supplies that The Somerset will donate to the Edward Gartland Youth Centre. (And, packing donation items will allow extra room in your suitcase for souvenirs!)

- Arts & Craft Supplies: masking tape, glue gun, paint brushes, binders, yarn, construction paper
- Sports Equipment: sports balls, whistles, plain t-shirts (small/medium), plain shorts (medium), sports socks

- School Supplies: backpacks, notebooks, pens, pencils
You also have the option of hand-delivering your donation or volunteering two hours of time to play and interact with the local youth!
