Ashley Learning Center

In addition to helping guests create treasured times, the staff at The Somerset also strive to provide opportunities and special memories for the local Turks & Caicos community.

Ashley Learning Center

The Somerset partners with the Extraordinary Minds Ashley Learning Center, a small, non-profit institution created to nurture and develop young children with mild to severe disabilities. The school has a small, but qualified staff who love to teach and provide a warm learning environment for the students. Their main goal is to help students with the skills necessary to have a successful, independent, and happy life in their community.

General Manager Kevin Reeder has a longstanding history of doing volunteer work for similar charitable organizations prior to coming to The Somerset. After hearing about the center, Kevin was excited to learn more about the non-profit’s mission to see how The Somerset could support their needs.

Valentine’s Day Project

We visited the center in February and were excited to see the students creating their personalized Valentine’s Day cards and practicing their handwriting.
