Roll up your sleeves and get the cards in the air! Friday evening, August 9th, the upstairs dining room of The Somerset’s O’Soleil Restaurant will turn into a hoe down, Texas Hold ‘Em, poker parlor.
Beginning at 8:30 pm, resort guests will compete against one another in the most formidable form of poker, Texas Hold ’Em. The game has been widely popularized in recent years by Las Vegas’ annual World Series of Poker Main Event.
Sitting around the table will be steely nerved, amateur gamblers from across North America and beyond (also known as Somerset resort guests), who for one evening will be using their Grace Bay beach sunglasses for altogether different purposes.
Dealing cards and distributing chips will be the resort’s Executive Housekeeper and resident card sharp, Alanzo Barnett. Barnett will be under the watchful eye of the “Tournament Director,” Somerset’s General Manager, Urmas Karner.
At the end of the evening’s play, the tournament champ will be able to exchange his/her hard won chips for prizes chosen from the chic Somerset Boutique. The lucky winner will also earn dining considerations at O’Soleil.
Shuffle up and deal at our Turks and Caicos resort!
