This is a big event that attracts models from all over TCI to compete, thanks to over USD$10,000.00 in cash and prizes going to the winner, plus press and publicity most aspiring models can only dream about.

Sponsored by cellular provider Digicel, ten contestants will debuted at the “Infiniti Catwalk” launch event held at The Somerset Resort Infinity Pool within sight of Grace Bay on Providenciales.

This year’s event featured international designer Oyuna whoshowcased her 2012 Spring/Summer collection on the contestants at the Somerset.

Says Oyuna:

Oyuna’s design aesthetic has been shaped by her experiences working in diverse areas in the fashion industry, from designing for the military to tailoring high end designer clothing to working for a major leather company. When she finally decided to create her own label, she sought to use the skills and knowledge acquired throughout her career to make beautifully constructed clothing using quality materials. She believes in flattering a woman’s body through great tailoring and fit, with a focus on silhouette and line. Her clothes are clean, modern and, most importantly, flattering. Oyuna looks to make pieces that will become wardrobe staples for her customers.

As first prize in the 2012 TCI Top Model Contest, the winning model will be named Digicel TCI Brand Ambassador for a year. The TCI Top Model will appear in all local television, print and billboard advertising campaigns, as well as making appearances at Digicel TCI events throughout her reign.

Infiniti Catwalk is expected to be a fabulous start to “Carnivaé: Culture. Music. Fashion”, Provo’s annual festival of the arts.
