Join a “Seaster Hunt” this Easter at our Turks and Caicos resort

Easter traditions vary around the globe, but nothing beats an Easter Egg Hunt.

At The Somerset, we’ve put a tropical twist on this fun family event – this year, we are pleased to introduce the start of our annual Great “Sea”ster Hunt.

During the week leading up to April 6th, Good Friday and the start of the Easter Weekend, your children are invited to display their artistic talents by painting stones and pebbles from our wonderful beach.

Then, on Good Friday at 2:30pm, these brilliantly decorated, designer “eggs” will be scattered into the turquoise waters of Grace Bay and all parents are invited to take part in a snorkeling “Sea”ster Hunt, collecting as many painted rocks as possible.

The winning family with the most rocks will have their names engraved on The Somerset’s “Conch Shell Award”, and will also receive a family portrait. But don’t worry – there will be plenty of other prizes for participating families (we’re keeping them secret  There will be other prizes as well (to be announced).

So, let’s celebrate Easter together the Somerset way, with plenty of fun in the sun on Grace Bay Beach, voted one of the top ten beaches in the world. As well, on Monday and Thursday nights A

Another great Easter activity on the island of Provo occurs on Monday, April 9th: the 21st Annual Kite Flying Competition.

This Annual competition and beach party is organized by the Turks & Caicos Tourist Board, and is held every Easter Monday on the beach at the Children’s Park in the Bight on Providenciales (and, if you are in the neighborhood, at the Horse Stable Beach on North Caicos, and on Grand Turk at the Governors beach).

Activities includes at the Children’s Park include an Easter Egg Hunt, face painting, wonderful Caribbean music, and lots to eat and drink. There will be prizes and trophies for the Largest Kite; Smallest Kite; Most Artistic Kite; and Best Overall Kite.
